Tutorial: how to make a raglan sleeve sweater

The first sweater made exclusively for us by the Knitting For Breakfast duo, definitely has that hint of summer feel. Cool and comfy but not too baggy, it’s highly recommended for those who love the simple but refined look. The rice and rib stitch were chosen for this sweater, which are simple yet effective especially when paired with our pure cotton Sailorman tape. Then finished off nicely with raglan sleeves giving it that special touch.

Our model for the day, Elisa, is wearing a raglan sleeved sweater with a pair of jean shorts. We love it!

This type of stitch is knitted in the round using circular needles from top to bottom. As it’s worked as just once piece it has the huge advantage of being seamless. The stitches are gradually increased from the neck to the sleeves that are placed on hold on a thread to then be picked up later.
