There are countless types of vests out there — long, short, with pockets, wide necklines, textured stitches, made of fabric or yarn. The one we’re showing you today has a special feature that makes it truly unique: the yarn used to make it. It’s called Luce, produced through a meticulous artisanal process that combines our signature Piuma yarn with a fine lamé thread.
The result is a soft, wide ribbon-like yarn that’s warm and light, with a subtle metallic shimmer that beautifully contrasts with the wool’s natural fluffiness — creating a look that’s both simple and luxurious.
Along with the glow of Luce, this vest stands out for two lively details: a generous V-neckline and handy pockets. Just look how great it looks with a simple T-shirt and a pair of trousers — we’re completely in love with it.
Choose your favorite color of Luce yarn, and get started with the pattern!

For the first pocket, leaving a long tail at the beginning for sewing, with knitting needles n° 8 EU / 11 US pick up the 16 (16, 18) stitches left on hold on the first stitch holder on the front and work 20 (20, 22) rows in stockinette stitch and 2 rows in tubular stitch. Close the stitches with the yarn needle using mattress stitch, then cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing. Work the second pocket in the same way, picking up the 16 (16, 18) stitches left on hold on the second stitch holder. Using the yarn tails left at the beginning and end of the work, close the pockets along the sides with mattress stitch: this will make the seam invisible. Sew the shoulders. Close the sides.
