The time needed to make your Mermaid Box Top is about an hour.<\/span><\/p>

How to make a Mermaid Box Top<\/h2>

MATERIALS<\/b><\/span>
Silk tulle col. Shell<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, 50 cm<\/span>
Needle<\/span>
1 box of beads<\/span>
Thread<\/span>
Normal scissors and pinking shears<\/span>
Tape measure<\/span>
Household sewing machine<\/span>
Pins<\/span><\/p>

<\/p>

METHOD
<\/b><\/span>Double over the fabric and cut out the template of your top using the below as references. To be more precise you could put them onto tissue paper to create the pattern.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

These measurements fit a size 42; <\/span><\/strong>for each size you want to increase keep a 2cm margin all around.<\/span> So, +2 for size 46, <\/span><\/strong>+4 for a 48 etc.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

After having cut it out, put the pins on the sides and on the shoulders, keeping 3cm from the cutting line. Tack along the line of the pins and after you\u2019ve removed them, use the sewing machine to sew using a matching coloured thread.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>


<\/p>

With the top inside out<\/span><\/strong> finish off the inner seam allowances, using a pair of scissors, zig zag\nones are better.<\/span><\/p>

\n\n\n\n<\/p>

<\/p>

To get the real mermaid effect<\/span><\/strong> persevere and cover around the neck, sleeves and the bottom with a line of\nbeads.<\/span><\/p>
