This is how we came up with <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">a midi skirt made with DHG silk ribbons<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">. Extremely feminine, comfortable and easy to make. We&#8217;ll explanin how..<\/span><\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/longuettecon-nastri-in-seta.jpg\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><br><\/p><br><br><h2 style=\"text-align: center; \">How to make a midi skirt with DHG silk ribbons<\/h2><p><b><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">MATERIALS<br><\/span><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhgshop.it\/item-ribbons-plain-colour-silk_0_0_19_64_193.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">2.5 cm of Silk chiffon ribbon, Beaver colour<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"> &#8211; around 285 metres \/ 312 yards a 20 cm \/ 8 inches <\/span><b style=\"font-size: 18px;\">zip<br><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Knitting nee<\/b><b>dle<\/b> <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">7 EU \/ 4 1\/2 US<\/span><\/p><br><br><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><b>KNIT-CROCHET STITCHES USED<br><\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><u>Stockinette stitch:<\/u><br><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">row 1: Knit<br><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">row 2: Purl<\/span><\/p><br><br><p><b><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">&#1057;&#1061;&#1045;&#1052;&#1040; &#1044;&#1045;&#1049;&#1057;&#1058;&#1042;&#1048;&#1049;<br><\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">(The instructions below are for an Italian size 40 \/ EU S \/ US size 4)<br><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">Cast on 60 loops and work 34 rows.<\/span><\/p><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Position the stitch markers<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"> after the 16th and 34th loop. These stitch markes are needed to highlight the hip.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Before and after the two markers work two loops together (here we do 2 dropstitches and they decrease into a total of 4 loops).<\/span><\/p><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Important:<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"> Dropstitches must always be done on a knitrow.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Repeat the dropstitch every 4 irons until you end up with 44 loops.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Work 14 rows.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">After you&#8217;ve completed the stitches, join the two sides leaving an opening of about 8 cm at the lower end for the split and at the height of the waist sew the zip.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Tadaaa&#8230; <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">the midi skirt is ready to be worn<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">.
