All the color combinations are worked in rows of 2:

combination 2: 1 row of Cyrcus col. Ambra + 1 row of Sierra col. Mist
combination 3: 1 row of Sierra col. Mist + 1 row of Cyrcus col. Dancer
combination 4: 2 rows of Cyrcus col. Dancer

N.B.
Alternate combinations 2, 3 and 4 every 20 rows. Combination 1, as well as being the one with which the work has begun (rib stitch), work the
stockinette stitch for another 10 rows.

Making the back of the high neck sweater

Cast on 54 stitches, rib stitch 1/1 using n° 10 EU / 15 US needles for 12 rows.
Row 13: continue using n° 12 EU / 17 US needles with stockinette stitch for 10 rows
row 23: switch to colour combination 2 (then alternate every 20 rows with 3 and 4 as previously written) decreasing a stitch on each side, every 20 rows, until you reach 50 stitches
row 38: mark the round with a stitch marker on both sides.

Continue with the stockinette stitch for 24 rows.

Now, the shaping of the shoulders:
row 1: *knit together the first 3 stitches of the row and knit the rest
row 2: knit together the first 3 stitches of the row and purl the rest*
Repeat from * to * you’re left with 20 stitches.

At this point move on to the neck and work 35 rows.

Bind off.

Making the front of the high neck sweater

Work as for the back, but work the initial rib stitch for 6 rows only.

Making of the sleeves

Cast on 19 stitches and work the rib stitch 1x1 for 10 rows of color combination 1.

From the 11th row work the stockinette stitch and continue for the rest of the sleeve.
Row 11: work the first selvage and double all the stitches apart from the last one (selvage) to get 34 stitches on the hook
row 12: purl
row 13: change colour – continue working the stockinette stitch with combination 2 until the 32nd row
row 14: decrease a stitch on each side then keep decreasing a stich every 12 rows until you’ve got 30 stitches
row 33: change colour to combination 3 for a total of 15 rows.

Bind off.

Making up of the high neck sweater

Sew the pieces together leaving the rib at the bottom of the sweater open.

The super cozy high neck is ready, but watch out, it’s addictive! If, however, you want to dress to impress with a pure wool sweater, we suggest reading our tutorial on how to make a sweater with a lobster-claw cable and bobble motif.
