Continue crocheting single crochet for 30 rows.

To create the seam fold the rectangle in half and sew with a row of slip stitch first one side then continue along the triangle and finish with the other side.
Using cardboard cut out a 10 cm / 3.9" high rectangle. start wrapping the thread around the cardboard until you reach the desired thickness, in this example we have wrapped it around 15 times.
Insert a thread between the card and the thread at the top of the tassel, pull it and tie a very tight knot to hold the tassel together.
At this point the cardboard can be removed.
Wrap a little thread of yarn on top of the tassel around 2 cm / 0.8" from the top, this way you will create a small head at the top.
Cut the eyelets that are on the other side of the head.
We have now reached the end of the tutorial to crochet a summer clutch, If you enjoyed this tutorial then how can we not suggest another project perfect for the summertime, or even a swimming costume entirely made by crochet.
