How to crochet the square stitch with points

Today we are going to learn a very special stitch. It is called a square stitch with points and it's done in crochet. Once the pattern has been completed you will find a small square with an eight-petal flower inside. By stitching together many squares you achieve a perforated effect that is therefore very light and suitable for the creation of a doily or to decorate a sweater, make a tablecloth or just follow wherever your imagination takes you.

For this stitch we have chosen the Lincoln yarn in the Chagall color. This yarn is in pure cotton making it perfect for summer. But if you want to adapt your squares for the winter months then you can choose the Piuma yarn, our iconic, slightly twisted wool wick, which will render the squares soft and chunky. Ideal for a warm winter blanket.
