Around here, coming back from summer vacation is a bit like a new year. New projects, resolutions and the millionth dream dust off and put into the works. So we’re starting off right away by introducing an article that we already adore into our collection. We hope you will love it too! Starting today, in fact, you will find a new quality of felt made with one of our most beloved yarns: Bergschaf wool.
This Austrian wool is truly beloved for its full bodied and intense natural colors which give each creation a special 3-D effect. Colors which are always modern and never go out style and which go great even with more intense, dyed colors.
So we told ourselves that we absolutely had to give everyone, even people who don’t work with fibers, the chance to be able to work with this wool. That is the reason why Bergschaf wool felt was born.
It’s ready to use!
So were we able to wait to play with it ourselves? Absolutely NOT! Therefore we unleashed Assunta, who has been part of our team for a few months now, and we asked her to experiment, experiment, experiment. Assunta is truly a magician with cutting and sewing and with her many years of experience in the Arts and Craft sector, there was no better person for the job.
So experiment after experiment Assunta created a splendid collection of accessories for our headquarters.
There’s a pouf which we are already fighting over, a rug that will keep me glued to my office, vase covers and trays of various shapes and size.
Very “minimal” pieces, as I like to define them, yet groomed in every detail and enriched by Assunta’s imagination. They’re perfect for giving that extra touch to our office. Pieces where the rustic Bergschaf wool is combined with our silk fabrics and special trimmings made with our extra fine merino wool top. In the end, this Bergschaf wool is a true chameleon!
The tons of people who come to visit us every day in our offices will be able to appreciate them first hand while everyone else will have to make do with only seeing them in pictures. We will post them here later on hoping that they can be a source of inspiration for you.
The only thing left to do is wait for the photos of your creations to inspire us in turn and in the meantime, we will continue experimenting. Christmas is coming and Assunta will certainly have some interesting ideas for the occasion...
It’s time to say it: we love Bergschaf wool!
